Natalia Baura

Natalia is a solicitor in England and Wales.

Natalia has significant experience in planning law, public law, and litigation cases, with a main specialisation in family law matters. She has successfully represented clients in various family law disputes, including divorce, child custody, and domestic violence cases. Natalia is known for her compassionate approach and ability to navigate complex legal issues to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients.

She also authors legal articles in Russian and Lithuanian to help Russian-speaking and Lithuanian-speaking societies in the UK understand the basics of the England and Wales legal system. Her articles cover a wide range of topics, including criminal law, family law, employment law, and housing law. By providing this valuable information in their native language, she aims to empower those individuals to navigate the legal system with confidence and make informed decisions.
Natalia worked as the head of the legal department at Legal ABC and as a leading lawyer in all matters related to planning laws, boundary disputes, and employment law. Her expertise in planning laws and boundary disputes has allowed her to successfully handle complex cases and provide strategic advice to clients. With her extensive experience in the field, Natalia is well-equipped to assist individuals and businesses in navigating the intricacies of property development and resolving disputes related to land boundaries.

Natalia is a traveller and also has some international experience, both as a student and a practitioner.
She attended Macquarie University's Local Government and Planning Law course (Australia). At the same time, she worked as a caseworker in “EU Migration” (Sydney Office).

Since September 2022, she has started a Notary Public course to become Notary Public (expected by the end of 2025).

She is fluent in Russian, Lithuanian, and English. Despite that, Natalia is diagnosed with a very minor form of dyslexia. Dyslexia is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects a person's ability to read, write, and spell. However, while dyslexia can present challenges in any profession, including the legal profession, it is important to note that it does not necessarily prevent someone from pursuing a career in law or succeeding as a legal professional.

In fact, many people with dyslexia have successfully pursued careers in law, including as solicitors, barristers, and judges. Some may even argue that the unique skills and perspectives that people with dyslexia bring to the legal profession can be an asset, such as Natalia's strong problem-solving skills, creativity, and ability to think outside the box.

Additionally, Natalia believes that it is important to raise awareness about dyslexia and reduce stigma and discrimination surrounding it so that people with dyslexia feel comfortable disclosing their condition and seeking the support they need to thrive in the legal profession. By advocating for greater understanding and acceptance of dyslexia, Natalia hopes to create a more inclusive and diverse legal community that values the contributions of individuals with different learning styles. This, in turn, can lead to a richer and more innovative approach to problem-solving within the profession.

Currently, Natalia provides supervision to law students who wish to have working experience at Legal Merits Limited.

Legal Merits Limited is a not-for-profit organisation providing opportunities to law students to gain practical experience and enhance their legal skills. The organisation offers various programmes, internships, and workshops that allow law students to work alongside experienced professionals in the field, helping them develop a strong foundation for their future careers in law. Additionally, Legal Merits Limited also aims to promote access to justice by providing free legal advice and assistance to individuals who may not have the means to afford legal representation. In this role, Natalia not only offers valuable guidance and mentorship to aspiring lawyers, but she also brings a fresh perspective and unique insights to the legal teams she collaborates with. By actively engaging with diverse individuals and fostering an inclusive environment, Natalia contributes to creating a legal community that embraces different perspectives and promotes creative problem-solving strategies. This approach not only enhances the overall quality of legal services but also encourages a more dynamic and forward-thinking profession.

She also provides her services as an associate solicitor consultant to the well-known and reputable law firms Dillex Solicitors and Hazelhurst Solicitors.

Natalia goes beyond legal representation, fostering a unique bond with clients. She often jokes that her clients become like family members throughout the duration of their cases, emphasizing her commitment to providing not just legal expertise but also a supportive and caring environment during challenging times.
